I drew this board in Adobe Illustator, then used Photoshop to insert scanned artwork from the real board. Then I printed it in two pieces and mounted them on a cheap old chessboard I bought in a thrift store.

Now I can play solo without having to sit on the side of the board or stand up the whole game. This could be used in a multiplayer game, too, of course.

hey that's cool!
can you post the (AI or EPS or even) PDF files? I'd love to give this a try.

Wow, awesome work! If FFG had published the game with this, I would have bought the game.

Very cool - very nice work. I like the size of the "normal" board, but this one is ideal when playing with all expansions and those additional boards... ;)

Fantastic idea, and I'd even say that, apart from the obvious practical benefits, it suits the theme better as well - much more claustrophic, and I imagine that when the monsters start swarming the town things will get pretty crowded (in a good way).

Wow. The details you added (such as the cityscape in the background) is more professional looking than many game boards put out by actual game publishers (although I know you took the graphics from the original game - but still....).

Nice job!

I think this is a fabulous piece of work! I would use it... but to me, there is some weird masochistic appeal to the huge and clunky nature of the game, and I'm not sure if I feel ready to part with that. But for those of a more practical nature, and particularly those with smaller tables, this looks like a must have.

While this is on the whole some pretty amazing work, I would disagree with your choice of font for the street names. Not only are they hard to read, they also seem to evoke something more ancient than 1920's Massachusetts. I don't know, it just feels wrong to me.

Which does seem kind of appropriate, when you think about it.

Great work! I especially love the locations of lost in time and space and the sky. I also like how the other worlds are scattered throughout instead of just in one section.

Nice, I prefer the old edition of Arhamn Horror to the new one in part due to the baord size (also, charts are better than cards for variables with around 10 items).

Thanks for the nice words, everyone! I'm glad you all like it.

About the street font: I did originally make it using the original FFG font (Papyrus) on the streets, but I started messing around with fonts from the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, and I really liked the way that particular one looked. It made the street spaces feel more menacing to me, so I went with it.

Would you provide your source files? It would be fine for translations/customization...
