In Le Havre, a player’s turn consists of two parts: First, distribute newly supplied goods onto the offer spaces; then take an action. As an action, players may choose either to take all goods of one type from an offer space or to use one of the available buildings. Building actions allow players to upgrade goods, sell them or use them to build their own buildings and ships. Buildings are both an investment opportunity and a revenue stream, as players must pay an entry fee to use buildings that they do not own. Ships, on the other hand, are primarily used to provide the food that is needed to feed the workers.
After every seven turns, the round ends: players’ cattle and grain may multiply through a Harvest, and players must feed their workers. After a fixed number of rounds, each player may carry out one final action, and then the game ends. Players add the value of their buildings and ships to their cash reserves. The player who has amassed the largest fortune is the winner.
Le Havre was released by Lookout Games October 2008 in German and Australian English.

Le Havre Player Aids (2 Players)
|
This is an update to this file to correct an error. I am grateful to Joe Pau who pointed out that there is an change to the 2 player summary card on the Lookout Games website (http://lookout-games.de/downloads/) that adds another standard building build by the town in round 8. I've added this and posted this as version 2 of the 2 player set. Many thanks to Joe for his vigilance. If anyone spots anything else I've missed, please let me know.

Le Havre Player Aids (5 Player)
|
Attached Player Aids I have made up for Le Havre. In the games I've played I found organising my resources was awkward so I wanted something with slots to keep them all in. I also found that I was forever calculating how much food I had left to obtain and how many turns I would get in various rounds. I designed the player aids to meet those needs, I'm posting them here in the hope that others will find them useful and may have some comments to make on how I could improve them. After some thought and a play test I decided to make a different player aid for each player position for each possible number of players - 15 in all. These are the 5 Player set, I'll load the others separately to keep the file size down. Although I ended up with a lot of files that way each one is tailored to the number of actions each player gets and the different food, ship benefits for the various numbers of players. Brief description: At the top left of each Player aid is a number of players indicator, the orange figure shows which player this aid is for. First, Second, Third etc in the initial round. The two rows of resource scans at the top are to store resources on in an organised manner. The food, energy and Francs underneath because the resource pieces cover these up on the scans. The picture of the bank on the right is for your money. The list of rounds shows: Round number. How many actions you get that round (the star indicates you are the starting player). Food pots show the food required that round and the number beneath the total amount of food you need for the rest of the game. Harvest and Building indicators are memos so you can see when these come. The ships show type and value. The ship pictures serve no actual purpose, but I really like them, so they are on for decoration. Bottom left is a table that shows the amount of food provided by each ship type and their shipping capacity.

Small Boxes for sorting tokens
|
PDF file with 10 small boxes and cardholders to build.
5 small boxes in a row fit exactly along the long side of the game box. Between the 2 rows of small boxes stays enough place to put the cards (cardholders also in the PDF). The boxes have the right height in order to put on top of them the 3 boards and rules - and the cover still closes :-)

Le Havre Tuckboxes (English)
|
This PDF file contains three tuckboxes, one each for the Starting/Standard Buildings, Special Buildings, and the Butteries/Ship/Round Overview/Loan Cards. If you've put together tuckboxes before these should be no problem. Cut along the solid lines, fold at the natural fold lines using the small tick lines, and apply glue on the grey shaded area. Enjoy! Tips are always appreciated! :)
